A big THANK YOU to Premier Danielle Smith, Minister of Health Adriana LaGrange, MLA Ron Wiebe, Reeve Marshall of the County of Grande Prairie No. 1, Mayor Gary Rycroft, Councillor Judy Kokotilo-Bekkerus, Larry Andrews of Landrex, and Stacey McFarlane representing the McFarlane family, who joined us at the official groundbreaking of the Mountview Health Complex in Beaverlodge. Their support and presence highlight the importance of this project in advancing healthcare infrastructure for Northwestern Alberta.
The Mountview Health Complex will bring together essential health services in a modern, purpose-built facility, designed to improve patient care and strengthen long-term healthcare delivery in the community. By consolidating and expanding services, the project aims to reduce strain on regional hospitals and emergency departments, while supporting sustainable growth for the region.
“Doris didn’t live to see the hospital, this medical facility started, but I know if she were here today, her heart would be singing, and she would have a very big smile on her face,” said Judy McFarlane, daughter-in-law to Doris McFarlane who generously donated the land for the facility.
We invite the community to stay tuned to www.mountviewhealthcomplex.com for further updates on the development. We look forward to sharing progress as construction advances and as this vital community facility moves closer to serving the people of Northwestern Alberta.
